Debit Card wouldn't work at Red Box?

I got my card yesterday and i put $50 on it and i had 25.91 left after i used it to buy stuff from hollisters website, and today i went to a redbox and i wanted to get a game and when i swiped my card i put in my area code and it wouldn't read the card or whatever. I have a teen account with wells fargo if that means anything since im 17.

Is it a temporary card? because if it is, then you can't use temp. cards at the RedBox. If it still isn't working, make sure you have the right BILLING zip code right. Still not working? Call Wells Fargo. They can give you a for sure answer.

If it's prepaid, it won't work there. It needs to be a debit or credit card attached to an account so in the event that you never return their property, they can charge you a big fee for not returning it and to replace the item in their inventory. With prepaid, it's basically a gift card, once the money is spent you can toss it without penalty. Credit and debit cards have all your personal info attached to them so they can pursue years later to get what they say you owe them.

Credit cards are fully protected by law. Prepaid cards are not. And the service charge to get a Wal-Mart card would more than quadruple the price.
