How many rooms would your ideal home have?

Can you please describe it for me?

It's a two story country home.

5 bedrooms
Nursery
3 1/2 baths
kitchen
living room
dining room
laundry room
a decent size den/TV room/bar/ and playroom

Certainly works well for our family

My ideal home would have 5 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms for each. They would also have walk in wardrobes so there is no need for sharing. It is ideal or a family of 4, leaving 2 bedrooms free for guests or you could even use one as a game room or library (depending how much you like to read). It would be a 3 story house with 3 bedrooms on the middle floor and 2 on the top. The bottom floor would have a small study, kitchen, laundry, double garage, 2 lounge rooms (1 at the front of the house and 1 at the back) and 1 toilet. I find having 2 lounge rooms makes it easier for parents to be in one a kids in another.

Hope this is what you are looking for :)

I think our new house (will be moving in once hubby retires) is perfect for us! Upstairs is a large living room, dining area & my ideal kitchen! There are 2 bedrooms up (one is master & the other will be my 'office') & then a small bath.
Downstairs is a small family room (excellent for hot summers!), laundry, a very small bath & the guest bedroom. Oh, the garage is on the lower level. Its a split level home on a hill.
The windows open in living room & dining area & the patio doors open in dining area have the most awesome breezes going through! A bit disappointed in master room---no window, a patio door leading to a small deck with 6' 'walls' around it. We'll be taking down 1 wall & adding stairs to the back yard. Eventually...
I can hardly wait to live in it full time instead of just visiting!!!! Come visit me sometime. Or, look under my album "New House' in my Facebook to see pix.

A great room off the kitchen, 2 bedrooms, one a master with separate bath, a main bathroom, a mud room between garage and kitchen and a full finished basement. That ought to do it. =)

6 would be good, the main one would be a garage and office combined - big enough to fit at least 6 cars and all my office equipment, then a big bedroom with ensuite, kitchen/laundry and a sitting room/lounge, and I guess one more room somewhere for the billiard table that I don't yet have.
