Which Teams Should Throw in the Towel 2013?

In order to answer this question you must give a definitive answer, with some analysis. If it's too early in the season, then you have not answered the question.

You cannot say Cubs, Astros, Marlins, because they were not expected to do anything.

Example: Toronto. Dickey ineffective, Johnson already on the DL, Reyes out. They are already 9.5 out vs 4 quality division rivals. There is no way to make that up.

The Padres should. They literally have no chance in that division. Weak pitching
Clayton Richards 0-3, 7.94 ERA
Andrew Cashner 1-2 4.24 ERA
Eric Stultz 2-2 5.08 ERA
Jason Marquis 3-2 4.25 ERA
Edison Volquez 2-3 6.39 ERA

They're lineup is also very inexperienced and weak aside from Headley, Quentin, and Alonso.

none

9.5 with 5 months to go is nothing

the A's made up 5 games with 6 games to go last season. maybe it was 7 but either way you never know where you will be in a week. you have to keep moving forward with the mindset that if you do the right things you will be where you are supposed to be.

Phillies know its gonna be a battle of Nationals and Braves, so I think they start thinking about trading Michael Young who is on the last year of his contract, Arizona would be a good fit for Young as they need an everyday fill at 2B with Aaron Hill out for a while with his broken hand...

I think the Astros don't have a choice but to try and wheel and deal... Bud Norris to the Brewers

The Kansas City royals because although they are off to a good start with the way the tigers pitching staff has dominated the American( and national) league, along with their relentless offense I just can't see the royals competing down the stretch

Blue Jays, Angels, Rays.
