Tattoo ideas for son given up for adoption..?

Okay, long story short, I put my newborn son up for adoption.
Anyways, that's not the point of my question.
What are some good tattoo ideas for him?
I do love my son very much.
I was thinking I could get a quote from an old book on the left part of my back/shoulder that says,
"I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be."
With a heart with 2 smaller hearts in it.
(To represent him & my other daughter)

Does this sound good?
& if not, what are some other good ideas?

I don't "need" it, I WANT it.
Nobody ever "needs" a tattoo.

TamTam, you don't know my situation but it's cool.
I guess that's why this world sucks.
There's too many prejudice people in it.

So sorry for your loss, I know the sorrow of losing a pet. You don't sound crazy at all; I've felt the same connection w animals as well. & yes, I'm familiar w the heartbreakingly beautiful Rainbow Bridge poem. I love the idea of an evolving totem style tattoo of your pets. As for words, that should be up to you to decide...would you want his name & dates, or a phrase from the poem, or if he had a nickname? I think the tattoo can help you feel better about the loss, & you'll always have him with you. I can't tell you what to believe, as far as if the idea behind the poem is real, but if it feels right & natural for you to believe it & hang onto that thought, & it helps you cope, there's nothing wrong in that. Even if you weren't his 1st or only owner, his spirit will still remember the love & care you gave him. Make sure you have a good artist, & here's some aftercare advice: Gently wash in cool water; the best soap for me is Bath & Body Works FOAMING hand soap, because it rinses easily. Dial soap is too sticky. Pat dry w/paper towel, DO NOT RUB OR SCRATCH. Apply thick layer of Aquaphor ointment, keep it shiny & DON'T LET IT DRY OUT. Repeat process every 8hrs/4-5 wks at least. Don't smother it in plastic wrap; if they wrap it, come home & care for it immediately, don't re-wrap it, & don't wear tight clothing on it til it completely heals. Source(s): 3 Tattoos so far, this was the best method for mine. It healed beautifully.
