Shipping time from the US to Romania?

Hello , I've been living in Constanta, Romania for the past 8 months so I don't know much about the country... my friend in Boston sent me a large package containing an autographed cd album signed by Alizée herself and a dvd of her on April 29th , it still hasn't arrived , should I be worried? Some people told me that shipping to romania took between 7 days and a month , I'm really starting to freak out .

Wouldn't worry about it yet, i know it takes AT LEAST 3 weeks with cheapest shipping. Which means, you'll prob get it in a month or 2. of course it depends how it was sent.

hard to say as it would depend on how your friend shipped the package.
I have shipped myself packages from the US to Hungary and it took anywhere from 6 weeks to 5 months. That time it was hung up in the Nertherlands in a big mess, it was allot of hassle to locate the package that time. Usually 6 to 8 weeks for a large package.
I am not sure but it may be in Romania already but hung up between the main post office where international packages arrive to where you now are.
In Romania sometimes things go slowly between post offices, happens here in HU as well.
If you have a tracking no. you may be able to contact the US post office but their tracking usually ends when the packages go in route as they sometimes use in between carriers to deliver overseas. That is why my package took over 5 months to locate, a in between co. didn't do their job right, didn't read the lable and just left it in storage in the Netherlands, I only got a response when I tried to claim my insurance on the package, then they all of a sudden found it .
good luck, ask your friend how she sent it and if she has the tracking no. give it a bit more time, it may show up in a couple weeks or sooner.
I moved to HU and sent 12 large boxes with an international shipping co. Paid for the shipment in the US in full, or so we thought. When they arrived in the EU I was informed that I had to pay another $600 in trucking fees and one day storage in HU, pay for someone using a fork lift and all sorts of insane charges. It doubled my shipping costs. I will never ship again, only one way back to the US where they are more up front with costs.
The shipper we used in the US was not aware of these hidden charges when we made our deal on pricing. So much corruption here in eastern Europe, good luck but try not to worry yet.
