My dog is constantly thirsty, hungry and her nails are getting long?

My dog is 12, and just recently she has become very thirsty even after she just had a whole bowl. 

She steals food from the table when your not looking and always wants scraps. She was never this bad before. 

She is getting somewhat of a belly, she's not fat though. And her nails seem to just be growing like weeds now.

 Anyone have any idea on what it could be?

What this could be is a dog in need of a vet visit.  Besides an exam your vet will probably run some tests for internal medical problems.  She will also need a toe nail trim which should be done on a regular basis.

Get her checked before the symptoms get worse.  Some problems can be controlled with medication while others are more involved and more costly to treat.

How long has it been since she's seen a vet?
These people study for over 7 years to help critters...... it's amazing!

Added: at her age, she might not have a "next week." I'd take her now if this is an extreme change.
