Does the 97 civic and the s2000 use the same block?

I have heard from many people they are the dame but I'm not sure. Did the s2000 even have a 4 cylinder available to it?

All S2000s used 4 cylinders. But there is zero interchangeable with a civic engine. The S2000, depending on year, used either an F20C or F22C engine designed specifically for the S2000 as a longitudinal engine. The Civic, depending on the model, used varying levels of D series engines (D15, D16). Nothing interchangeable.

Not the same. 97 Civic used D series engine block, first S2000 (1999) used F series block.

They use different series engines that aren't interchangeable but yes the S2000 is a 4 cylinder
