Hmmm...a month? Well, this is a tricky question to answer. Some people date for years and years, get married and then get divorced quickly after. Others marry two days after they meet and are happy! (Although this is very rare). But there really is no "right" way or timetable for anyone. The only person who can answer this question really is you. You are involved in this, you know him and you know your feelings. But just bear in mind you are talking about marriage, which is a major deal.
Maybe with him it was love at first sight! But, again, marriage is a major, lifelong commitment and you really need to weigh your options before you take the plunge. You need to know this is someone you have to be 1000% sure of who can support you through life, be your soulmate and true partner.
If you have no fears and feel this guy is your ultimate match, then you may want to consider engagement but like I said, marriage is a very serious thing so you should take it seriously. You may have known him a while, may love him, but are you IN LOVE with him? Do you guys agree on financial matters, where to live, religion, how to raise kids if you'll have any? Do you know how to deal with what life throws your way? Marriage is not all roses. It can be hard.

I personally think that you should wait a couple years...
I know that may sound like a long time but if you think about it, it's really not.
People change so much, and it is good to get a feel for how you two and your relationship changes over time. Although most relationships start off good, people do change a lot. I really think you should wait. Even if you've known each other for a while. Every person is different, so don't think that just because he says or acts a way now that it won't change latter in life.

Hi I'm 19 and married. I've been with my husband since sophomore year of high school. (We got married two weeks ago.) One month is way too soon. I personally believe anything short of a year is a bad idea. My husband and I didn't start having problems until a year (which we obviously worked through). Just because you've known him for a while doesn't mean you know how he is as a boyfriend. And vice versa. Divorces are pretty hard on people so make sureee it's what y'all want. I wish you luck. : )
