The nice Korean quoted in this article says, "The two countries are friends, walking shoulder to shoulder."
That's so nice! Two great countries, working together to solve their problems. I love that. Don't you support Japanese and Korean cooperation, too?

Yes I support. 日韓 hwaiting! I see them as friends but also as rivals, like UK and USA.
Younger generation doesn't have so much hate. The future is promising, but if you survey the population in general, South Korea is still the country that likes Japan the least.
They are just countries. There isn't such a thing as countries that are "friends". And their governments don't support each other. As far as I know, Koreans in Japan were looked down upon in the past, and Japanese people terrorised Korean people during the war. So no matter what kind of political propaganda you read, it's not true. I have seen Japanese people bashing Koreans and viceversa.
I firmly believe that Chinese and Korean are more related and friendly towards each other, but personally I don't really have a stance on Asian politics. Do you really want me to read you the history of China?
You are a good person. I respect you. However, South Korea needs anti-Japan propaganda to stabilize the country. They can't change it.
1) They rewrote the history based on anti-Japan propaganda in 70s. If the Korean citizens found the truth, South Korean government will collapse. 2) The exchange rate of South Korean money and the stock market of South Korea tend to move opposite to Japanese market. South Korean economy never consists with Japan's economy. This is the biggest reason they worldwidely scatter anti-Japan propaganda out. 3) Korean culture is han/恨. It means grudge. They need negative emotions to make progress something. If Japan was not the target, South Korean government will collapse immediately because there are unbelievably many failure/lies in South Korea. For example, they need to hide the atrocities in Vietnam War. There were 14 cases of famous atrocities committed in Vietnam. And, 8 of 14 were committed by South Korea. They need to blame Japan to mislead people. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_massacres_in_Vietnam
I researched the fact South Korean government insisted because I wanted to be fair. As for comfort women, I found that at least three comfort women had told lies. As for Dokdo island, Gerry Bevers, who was an English teacher of Gachon medical school, found the evidence which told Dokdo was Jukdo neighboring Ulleung-Do. It was different from Takeshima. He found it at Seoul university, but he was fired because it was unfavorable for South Korea. And, Korean Americans are now forcing US schools to ban "So Far from the Bamboo Grove." It is a nonfiction record which tells South Koreans have plundered/raped/massacred Japanese citizens after WW2. This book has already been banned in South Korea.
According to Yonsei university, they doubt 71.2 % of South Koreans have personality disorder. http://japanese.donga.com/srv/service.php3?biid=2003021117138 They are abnormally fanatic as you often see here. And, sadly, some Americans seem to have been brainwashed by them. So, Japan has to correct them now. This dispute will be endless.
