Most likely November. What day in November? No one knows other than Sony.

Though not "official" by Sony, some retailers have been seen placing displays and posters for the PS4 (since removed) showing the release date as November 13. That would make sense given the release of Battlefield 4, Killzone: Shadowfall, and Call of Duty:Ghosts around that same time frame, and the fact that release bundles include those games. That also allows for launch units to be cleared from stores, and be up and running before Black Friday hits the following week for the next batch.
