Would you treat a girl/buy her gift for her birthday, if she didn't do anything for you on your birthday?

A girl I was talking to did not do anything/buy gift for me on my birthday, should I treat her for hers/ buy her gift? I have been getting mixed advice. I want to know what is be best thing I can do in this situation!

I done it before who cares. I mean I brought a girl something for her birthday and she didn't buy anything for my birthday. Sh*t didn't matter to me. If you really like her you gone do it.
