ANY TERMITE EXPERTS OUT THERE? But, the spiders are still alive as well as my Roly Poly bugs. How can termiting a house not kill everything especially termites that are hidden inside the wood? And not kill all those other little rascals? |s the public being ripped off by another scram? Since there is no way for us to really know if those little critters are dead.

Hi! I found your question interesting, so I Googled it. No, tenting for termites does not kill all other pests. Many different sites explained why, but the short of it is that the dosage of pesticide they use is adjusted depending upon your targeted pest. So the dosage for termites may not kill spiders and insects, but should kill the termites. From personal experience, spiders are pretty hard to kill. I had REALLY big guys, sprayed them three times and they were still coming. Anyway, many sites also said that while other pests in your home are not guaranteed to be eliminated, that many of them do guarantee that the termites will be killed. Anyway, just because you tented it doesn't stop the random spider from entering your home afterwards. So, I wouldn't worry about the other critters, but you may want to make sure your termites were indeed handled. Good luck!

You should first ask this question of your service provider. The dose of toxic gas normally applied does tend to kill every living thing it reaches. Since it is needed to enter the tiny pores in the wood and reach the termites, it is reasonable to expect that pests active on the surface would also be killed. You must remember that the gas has no real residual effect (if it did, you'd still be out), so these highly mobile pests can return as soon as you can. Chances are you are not being ripped off but give the technicians a chance to explain before you get too concerned.
