How to get backstage?

My mom and I are really into politics. With that said, she is in a wheelchair and can't get up to the gates to shake these officials' hands. Any suggestions as to how we can meet some of these politicians? We met Mitt Romney in 2011 thanks to another man who was already going backstage (he wanted mom to have the same chance as everyone else).

If you are a hot girl, you don't need to do most of Step 3. All you need to do is the part of striking up a conversation with a band mate, merchandise employer or roadie, then finding yourself backstage.
