am i doing right not fasting because of work?
and there is this rulings that it is not right not to fast because of work
18. Not fasting because of exams or work
Exams or work is NOT one of the excuses allowed by the Shariah to not fast. You can do your studying and revision at night if it is too hard to do that during the day. Also remember that pleasing and obeying Allaah is much more important than 'good grades'. Besides, if you will fulfil your obligation to fast, even if you have to study, Allaah will make it easy for you and help you in everything you do.
'Whosoever fears Allah, He will appoint for him a way out and provide for him from where he does not expect, Allah is Sufficient for whosoever puts his trust in Him.' (Surah at-Talaaq 2-3)
my work is printing machine operator. we use alcohol as a solvent to the inks in the process. I 've tried before fasting while working and i feel my brain is drying up, my mouth and nose is so dried up and it is just 2 hours of work from start. Even not during ramadan, I have to constantly drink water as the fumes of alcohol is a diuretic making the body lose its liquids. Before, I used to work at night, but now, there are no others to take the place of the one who work during daylight.
alhamdulillah for sharing your views, But this is the first time I encountered this. I have no other skills. Before, I really chose night shift though the company is only a small one. It's been 7 days. But tomorrow or next few days, In sha allah, I got another work to do not in the printing area, I can fast.
Oh ,yeah, I joined taraweh this night but after 4 raka and the lecture, I left and continued it at home because the sheik there lighted an incense and my sinus ached and i felt a pain in the chest. I experienced this chest pain if i smell smoke since i had quit smoking years ago.
