DUPONT / MARTIN SENIOR comparison?

Have worked with Dupont automotive paint for nearing 15 years. Have an opportunity to Manage a new store, handling Martin Senior .. I am very confident with Dupont and its quality. Can another professional tell me about Martin Senior -- it's comparison with PPG, Sherman Williams, etc. Please, only experienced answers -- this is a HUGE question I'm asking. Job change... That's huge --quit other job -- take this one-- won't work if I have no confidence in product -- I know NOTHING about Martin Senior. Your input will be seriously read and trusted.

PLEASE ONLY EXPERIENCED AUTOBODY PROFESSIONALS ANSWER. My future is in your hands.

Thank you in advance... only will be able to chose one "best answer" ... But, I already know--every answer will be knowledgeable and helpful

MS is made by sherwin williams and very similar as far as I've been told by sherwin reps. Now what I know about Sherwin is the color matches are awesome The clears look incredible, BUT sherwin williams recommends activating the base coat which makes things a huge pain in the but for a painter. The base never really dries which makes it incredibly difficult to work with when it comes to repairing small chips pinholes and the like once the painting process has begun.I like to refer to it as cheesecake base because that's the texture it has when trying to work it.I've also had lifting and adhesion problems with sherwin when it comes to repaints.Sorry I don't have direct experience with martin senior products but maybe you can research the correlation between martin and sherwin.I suggest you stay where you are Dupont is an awesome product with awesome backing,my only complaint about dupont is have to use value shades under that damn transparent base.PPG I frickin love,it is my favorite product to work with altho the color matches aren't that great once you get familiar with the system you learn to anticipate and correct the poor colors.Haven't worked with ppg in a while but I remember a lot of backwards flips and too much black in golds and silvers but that black thing seems to plague a lot of paint lines, maybe it's just how the cars fade down here in Miami.Currently working with sikkens take a little getting used to but a nice product so far.

Feel free to email me if I can help any further
