I would think the Siamese, Oriental Longhair seem to have the longest tails but it could just be it appears that way since their bodies are so sleek. I do know Persians and Exotic Shorthairs have SHORTER tails than other breeds. One of my fave descriptions of the Exotic is that it has "a tail like a cigar - thick and shorter than other breeds". Then of course there's bobtail breeds and the Manx.
What was your dream about? I've been reading a lot of books later that are in post-apocalyptic settings and had a dream a few weeks ago that Penny my Exotic shorthair was in a backpack on my back shooting a shoulder-launched missile and I had a machine gun LOL

Maine Coon Cats have very long bushy tails. I agree with the other persons answer on the ball at the end, the Lion Cut.

Most of the oriental or siamese cats tend to have long tails. So do the cornish rex cats.
