So I've been trying to figure out which has a more aggressive exhaust note. My father has a 2011 Z06 so I know how that sounds but I've yet to hear a ZL1 in real life. So I'm just wondering what to you all has the better sound. Not trying to start fights or arguments.

yes but you have to figure the zl1 has a supercharged 6.2L v8 where the corvette has the 7L v8 in it but then again it all depends on preference I've had the great chance to hear them both and honestly I've always been a Camaro person so I might be more bias but like I said the engines do change the exhaust note lol love the stingray though

Depends on the cam, displacement, and pistons. these engines have diff cams even if they were same engine. The Corvette is gonna have a smoother more supercar sound whereas the zl1 will have a deeper rougher idling muscle sound.
