What sin could a person desire so much that they would take the chance of the total loss of God forever?

9*
Do you not know that the unjust will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators nor idolaters nor adulterers nor boy prostitutes* nor sodomites
10
nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11That is what some of you used to be; but now you have had yourselves washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.

Oh good grief. That's just stupid. Was I supposed to be reduced to a quivering puddle of fear yearning to be "saved"? Well....I wasn't.

Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

When people get saved, God no longer sees them as sinners. He doesn't see them as fornicators, idolaters, etc. He sees them as saints. He sees them as children. The righteousness of Christ has been imputed to them. The blood of Christ has washed away their sin. The garment of the Holy Spirit has covered their sinful flesh. The seal of the Holy Spirit ensures their entrance into heaven. For every verse you give me condemning sinners I'll give you 10 verses that prove those sins are by grace rendered ineffective concerning the eternal destination of a saved individual.

Are you implying the only reason atheists do not buy into the belief of a deity is because they "want to sin"?

Are you seriously positing that we simply want to give into hedonistic wants and desires when the whole concept of "Heaven" is being in the state of "eternal bliss"? After all, is an eternity of bliss not more hedonistic (pleasure-maximizing) than a few decades of "sin"?

How about BLASPHEMY as such sin, my dear. Like worshipping a Messenger human who performed miracles like Moses, by the power of God.

Ah, a Bible quote. Gosh, I'd do anything for a Klondike bar.
