When I cook, I pretend that I'm on a cooking show.?

So basically, whenever I cook or bake I explain everything that I'm doing out loud and pretend I'm on TV on a cooking show and that I am a gourmet chef. Also, when I do my makeup I pretend I'm a YouTube beauty guru making a video. Is this weird?

No, it's funny! :-) it's called having character.

I'll never understand those people who strive to be sensible all the time. It's like they're too tight fisted to give themselves or anyone else any pleasure.

Looking forward to seeing your show! :-)

Not weird... it's actually a rather good way to complete a task - you are thinking aloud so you don't miss any steps.

I have done the "cooking show" thing for decades... before the Food Network I was copying the "Frugal Gourmet" on PBS. It's amusing because my once my daughters, and now my grandkids will come into the kitchen and sit on the stools around the island and listen... they are learning the recipes !!

No... I still remember when I was little I pretended to record videos to post on YouTube while playing with these toys called Littlest Pet Shops. I would say like 'Hey guys,' and 'Hello weird viewers'. I did this while I was in my room, door locked. I would act out a show that was endless like an hour and I would do this until I got bored.

Well that sounds awesome and not weird at all! I've never thought about doing that, but I love watching shows on the food network. It sounds like you are having fun cooking, enjoy it!

Nope. Not weird. You should buy a camera and record your cooking. Maybe start your own youtube channel. It could be fun.
