Why is Redemption and Salvation not the same thing?
As far as I know, redemption is the purchasing by Christ of all mankind from Evil and the offer He makes for all mankind to have the Graces He offers to Know, Love and Serve Him Him in this life and be eternally Blessed in Heaven with Him for l Eternity. As far as I know , Salvation is both the Healing by Grace/Faith& Charity --persevered in until the last moment of ones life; have I got all of this right??

The dictionaries have been updated many times for the meanings. Older dictionaries offer differing meanings to many words in English.
Redemption is also a monetary or financial term of being bought back. In biblical meaning Jesus Christ paid at calvary through His death His resurrection A ransom payment of Messiah's shed blood in order that redemption takes place. Salvation had Hebrew translations also. God saves or Jesus Saves are also messages people share. Salvation is of the Lord the bible says.
Salvation is Yeshua (transliterated) in the Hebrew, and soteria (or soterion) in the Greek.
Basically they are words to describe Health, Safety, Welfare, Protection from Enemies, Prosperity, Deliverance. I'm trying to do this from memory, forgive me if I left anything out.
I think you have redemption right. Salvation means more than just being saved. If I look at it in a certain way, salvation covers all the good things a government would promise to do for it's citizens.
I believe you have redemption right where Christ came to Redeem His people from their sins and offer eternal life to all who believe in His shedding His blood for the new covenant which God has promised where He would write His laws on our hearts and forehead, and He be our God and we be His people." Salvation is being purified and cleansed from our sins by the blood of the Lamb, so that we become a new creation, serving the Lord with all our heart mind and soul also we are chastened to show us what is not good in us, so that we will be conformed into Christ image and become children of God.
