How long should I wait after taking advil to take a sleeping pill?

I took 2 advil liquid gel pills 2 hours ago. Sorry I don't know the actual dosage, the bottles downstairs and I'm in a lot of pain so I don't want to go down and get it. (Sprained ankle) Anyways, I suffer from insomnia and my doctor suggested I use ZzzQuil sleeping pills because I didn't want prescribed ones. I've been taking 2 ZzzQuil pills every night as directed and 2 pills is 50mg. It's time I start going to bed and I wanted to know if it was safe to take my sleeping pills now, just take one pill, if I should stay up and wait a few hours or if it would be dangerous to take them at all.

Provided you took the Advil liquid gels and not the Advil PM liquid gels, you can take the zzzQuil at any time. You can even take them together.

If you took the Advil PM liquid gels then it is recommended that you need to wait at least 4 hours as both contain Diphenhydramine HCL

The dosage of Advil is 200mg per capsule, 2 would be 400mg of ibuprofen. In case you were still wondering.

If you are in a place where advil does not work for you then you need to see a Dr and maybe get something stronger prescribed. Please never take more than the label on the bottle as there might be some very bad side effects.

There's no dangerous "reaction" between the two (ibuprofen & diphenhydramine?), just stay below the max daily dosage for both.
