On my 98durango the rear wheel is locked up and wont turn when i had someone put it on a jack stand to check i?

Since we were in the driveway he did not want to take it apart and things start falling apart just in case because I dont have the money right now to get it fixed. But it has been riding just find for months now but can someone tell me what it could possibly be.

On a rear wheel drivel truck, the axles are connected indirectly so if you had one wheel on the
Ground, the other will nnot move much, a few degrees and that is it. Other that that, if you have both tires off of the ground and the e brake released, and the wheels will not turn the problem is either in the brakes or the differential. I'd pull the drums off and find out if that is the issue. If a drum will not come off, that is the problem.

its hard to understand what your asking the wheel wouldn't turn while u were trying to drive it or just wouldn't turn when u put it on the jack stand. if you couldn't get the wheel to turn while trying to drive it could be a locked up rear end or a problem with the brake pads on that tire. if it just wouldn't turn while on the stand its probably because you are in park or the other rear tire still on the ground
