iPhone 4s service help?

I will be getting an iPhone 4s soon for T-Mobile. I live in New York City, where data speeds are excellent. I heard that T-mobile was refarming their 2G and Edge frequencies to make it more 3G and 4G. My question is: Will I have 4G once I get my iPhone 4s? Or will I be stuck on 3G?

You'll still have 3g. The only iPhone that can use 4g is the Iphone 5.
