Didn't report it to authorities and chose to raise the child instead, am I guilty of a crime? I would have to obtain a (false) birth certificate so I would be guilty of falsification of documents and maybe forgery but other than that what other crime might I be committing?

What you should do if you were put in that situation is take the baby to a hospital right away to make sure nothing was wrong with it. There is a law called Safe Haven where you can take a baby to any hospital, police station, or fire station within 72 hrs without consequences. That's obviously for the mother but if you take it in you can just say you would like to keep it lol
