1986 Cadillac 4.1 DFI not working?

On my left injector the fuel is wide open at idle. I switched the connectors around and now the right one is wide open. How much volts should I have coming from the ECU? or is that a grounded system? I guess what I need to know is there a 12v short going to my DFI or is my ECU bad? Where do I go from here? thanks

A repair manual will tell what reference voltage is supposed to be at the injector plug. But I believe that your PCM or ECU as you call it is bad internally. The PCM controls the voltage to the injector plug itself. This may be a tricky repair if you have to change the PCM. An experienced auto-tech is what you may need in the end.
