What do you think is the cause of Schalke's sudden poor form?

FC Schalke have been playing terribly in last few games, starting 3-3 vs. Hamburg, and latest 1-1 vs. PAOK, with 4-0 loss to Wolfsburg being most worrying.

In first-half, they perform very good in attacking sense, but in second half, just the opposite of first-half. Much is expected of die Knappen, but till now, they seem to be in similar position as in 2010-11 season, in which they end at 10th position of table.

What do you think is the cause of such bad performances by die Königsblauen?

It is not the players individually. It is their bad chemistry. Especially at the back. It does remind of Arsenal at times and they do not have a very aggressive offensive force either like other Bundesliga teams. They're good, but you cannot compare them to massive clubs. Their midfield is too unbalanced and they run out of ideas, because players do not melt together as well as they should. But their playing philosophy is very great in my opinion. It is just not well executed.

The first option is Bastos leaving. Yeah, he wasn't 100% consistent, but he moved well and he had that Brazilian flair. We certainly seem to be lacking creativity on that left side. Heldt was talking about possible replacements. I mean, we have Draxler but he'd rather play centrally. I think Heldt would do well to squeeze a transfer or loan in.

Second option is Keller. I like him and support him, but I have to admit that he doesn't have much experience coaching a side as big as this. The end of last season was rocky when he took over, but he managed to get us to fourth and we all assumed the rockiness was because the morale was already rock bottom. This one will be proven or disproven over the next few weeks, I suppose.

Is this a similar position to 2010-2011? We'll see. Though, I might not mind too much if we come away with another Champion's League semi and a Pokal win.

Just like Arsenal FC, it is very important to have the best combination of players. It is detrimental selling away valuable players. FC Schalke has sold away its players and failed to sign new players.

No idea... with the material they have.. should be able to get much better results. Even if Huntelaar is injured

Toni Muller

everybody to blame here. from coach to the players to team management.
