My girlfriend wants to get into gaming with me and unfortunatly her laptop doesn't run the games she wants to play. I want to buy her a more capable laptop for gaming, I use desktops that I build myself but she prefers laptops and I know nothing about laptops and what a good price for them would be. Any help would be appreciated. Also Windows 7 preferably.

The IdeaPad Y510p is one of the best values currently available for what you're looking for. Comes with a pretty good GPU, as well as a decent display, at the same time.
**Lenovo IdeaPad Y510p** (NVIDIA GT 750M GDDR5, 15.6" 1920x1080 display w/ matte finish and good contrast) - **$889 + tax** - Sign up and sign in for the Barnes and Noble Gold discount: http://lenovo.com/barnesnoblegold/ - Take this model: http://shop.lenovo.com/barnesnoblegold/us/en/laptops/ideapad/y-series/y510p/?sb=:000001C9:0000ECB3: - Or this model: http://shop.lenovo.com/barnesnoblegold/us/en/laptops/ideapad/y-series/y510p/?sb=:000001C9:0000ECB0: ($929, adds 24GB mSATA SSD for hard drive acceleration cache) - Avoid the cheapest model, as it comes with a 15.6" 1366x768 display. 1366x768 resolution in a 15.6" display makes things onscreen rather large, the resolution itself doesn't let you fit much onscreen, and 15.6" displays that have 1366x768 resolution are almost always low-grade LCD panels with very poor image quality due to low contrast.
Doesn't have Windows 7, but it's going to be hard for you to find Windows 7 (something you should be able to fix yourself -- either with a full-on reinstall, or simply with utilities such as Start8 to restore the start menu) without significant sacrifices in areas you can't fix yourself.
EDIT: Actually, yes, you can get a decent GPU, decent display, and Windows 7, at the same time, with this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152393
