How did you stay awake?

During air ops on a carrier, its my understanding you can end up being awake for days at a time. So how did you guys do it?

Actually, I have, Wine. More times then I care to remember. When I was in my 20's I could stay awake for up to 48 hours without caffeine. However, as I have gotten older it gets harder and harder to stay awake, and hate the thought of using caffeine pills or ephedrine. Just looking for alternatives & thought I would ask the pros.

I see you have never worked over 8 hours in your life

Edit:

I am 41...I have stayed awake...5 days...twice in my career...and 72 hours or more more times that I care to remember...without any supplements.,...all while doing sh*t that could cause people harm

It is called having discipline and balls...

@EOD Bot...Hemi IS USAF....he has crew rest and whatnot

You need a real job. I've done 72 hours straight of EOD missions.

You do what you have to do..... sometimes you use caffeine.....sometimes something a little stronger

Green Berets and LRRPs would go four and five days......why.....the alternative was death

can you spell "Bennies"

maybe try sticking a few straws through your nose into the brain, you are missing a bunch anyway.
