... I have a friend who begs by the side of the street. I am serious. I see him once in a while. He is always at the same corner, but appears and disappears for months at a time. I pass by him in my car, moving truck or whatever else I am driving, with whoever is in my car at that time... and we have most intelligent conversations and love one another's company. He also chants the same mantra that I chant. He believes it is his karma to be living in this way. I don't agree with all he says, but I love the way he is. There is something about him, Bob Dylan. You must see it to believe it!!! He is humble in a way that no one else is!!!...... I think of him. Offer him whatever I can (usually offered food - called persadam-, flowers, pictures) when I see him. He puts the special pictures in his pocket near his heart and taps at it. It so moves my heart when he does that! in return, he chants the mantra for me ... sends love and peace with his two fingers and smiles, yet keeps his distance! :( in a way that I don't even dare offering him money or ask anything further ..yet he lets me know when his mom is sick and asks me to pray for her! He is in my prayers and I love his smile. You wouldn't believe this, but I bump in to him whenever I so much wish He was there!! When I have something worthy to offer him.
