Is pure leaf tea healthy?
Lately I've been drinking a lot of the pure leaf green tea with honey. Is it healthy? I know it has 100 calories for the whole bottle and 25g of sugar. But is it good for you? Thank you. Will chose best answer

You should stay away from bottled iced teas in general. Anything that is processed and contains that much sugar is no good for you. Instead, purchase some teas online from either Adagio Teas or Teavana and steep your own green tea at home. I can guarantee it will taste much, much better (and be much, much better for you)! Depending on the type of tea you enjoy, I thoroughly recommend either dragon well, sencha overture or vanilla green teas. Enjoy it without added sweeteners. That means put down the sugar and reap all of the health benefits (easy digestion, curb appetite, improve complexion, stay alert, the list goes on and on).

Pure Leaf Green Tea

Pure leaf iced tea contains 28mg of caffeine. Which is a chemical evolved in some plants that is an evolved insecticide. First the caffeine molecules bind to your adenosine receptors in your neurons, causing the naturally created adenosine to spike higher in your body. Your glands in your neck have a discussion over your nervious system with your two adrenal glands sitting on top of your two kidneys and determine it's an emergency. As if you are running away from a tiger trying to eat you. Gotta go fast and think fast NOW.
The adrenal glands pump you up full of stimulants that cause you to become superman. This process can be abused, it's like a car tire. Imagine your car tire could replenish its tread by 1% every week. If you tread lightly, you will never run out of tread. However if you "run your system hard", then you will find this adrenal gland system not function. And you won't have any reserve superman ability.
And it rots your mind, it reduces your field of abilities over time. the caffeine causes too many connections between areas that don't have any business talking to eachother in your mind. Cardio exercise undoes some of its effects. But it takes weeks and months of cardio to undo just one or two drinks.
Caffeine is an insecticide. You should treat it as you would other junk food. Food that will contribute to your early grave. But it feels good. So just do it.

Coffee isn't great for you at all, the caffeine really ruins your nerves and blood pressure, as well as creating so much acid in you, it can lead up to horrible ulcers. Tea's caffeine is different. It's much much weaker for a start, and it comes from the tea leaf, not a bean with the resulting oils and acids. Tea grows as a plant- a short bush with bright green leaves so you get strong anti-oxidizing properties in those leaves inside you when you drink the water. Coffee oxidizes after being brewed and it's not good- it tastes rancid and stale, and becomes bitter ( the thing that is bad for your health and creates stomach ulcers which are large sores in your stomach which can bleed), but tea when it oxidizes is very good- the longer you let it sit, the better( for the oxidization, not that you'd want two hour stewed tea). Tea comes in four colours- white, green, black and grey. The grey is oolong, and the others are from all types of regions- hilly cool mountain areas with very clean air an water. Tea and coffee grow in the same kind of places. Ceylon, Assam, Darjeeling, Cameroon HIghlands, Kenya, these are all tea growing regions. English black is usually Orange Pekoe- a black tea grown in China. It's not the tea English people drink, I think you're talking about Twinings "English Breakfast" tea. English people drink it sometimes ( but usually not that brand) and they also drink Darjeeling, Assam, Ceylon and a bunch of other types. THe tea to not drink is instant or dried powdered tea made into sweet tea mix, like a powder. Reason is- the tea factories make the tea from the leaf. The leaves are crushed and roughly broken to make fine grade quality tea. Then the bits of leftovers, still leaf parts, are made into teabags like PG Tips, Tetley and other good quality tea bag tea. Then comes the lower quality teabag tea- such as Lipton and Red Rose and a lot of American types which make it to the US where iced tea is popular and doesn't need to be good tea. What's left is the dust, often on the tea plant floor. That is swept up and made into instant tea and very low quality teabags. I've seen this countless times. Tea is valuable so it's not wasted. They will also make tea flavouring, with the boiling water poured over fresh leaves ( which makes pure tea) and use the flavouring for foods like ice cream and so on. Then those used leaves, with their now-weak flavour, are used for caffeine free and bad quality tea, such as generic store brands. I love tea so much I could marry it. I never drink coffee ( maybe once a year) , I'm drinking tea now- Lyons brand from Amazon, it's basically the best black tea teabag you can buy. Now, I'm spoilt and it's annoying! No other black tea teabags are as good. The Twinings ones look fancy but they're pretty bad quality. I love tea and I'm glad you do too. FWIW Herbal tea and all that muck isn't tea. It's not from the tea plant.

Its not the best thing for you because it contains chemicals that make it 100 calories
if you should eat 1800 calories in a day then 100 calories for 25 grams of sugar is not good.
One a day isn't bad:)
