Do stupid people have the best social skills, or is society itself just stupid?

It seems like the most blissfully-ignorant buffoons have the best social skills. They're not very deep thinkers, their energy is extroverted, they don't judge moral issues & people are comfortable with their brutal honesty.

Is this because western society has become dumbed down & demoralized into an idiocracy? If the majority of people in a given society/culture were educated & moral, would the idiot be an outcast or would he be welcomed as entertainment?

Socializing doesn't require critical thinking. I hear a lot of people talk about vapid things: hot girls, what so-and-so is wearing, etc. Probably what dogs talk about if they communicate by barks.

This may sound crazy, but when socializing with someone, it's better to be a stupid, light thinker rather than a intellectual "deep" thinker. Thinking too much when it comes to socializing can kill a conversation. Also, keep in mind that there is a difference between being immature, and stupid. And also, keep in mind that there is a difference between "acting" stupid, and "being" stupid. Stupidity gets people laughs, friends, and much more. It's suppose to be an insult, but honestly, "stupid" people get things done better than "smart" people a LOT. It's good to use your head, but it's better to loosen up and have a wide sense of humor.

I hope I answered your question correctly.
