There is no guarantee that you will get the perfect fit when shrinking jeans
Put on a hot wash no detergent as yours are clean
Select soak for maximum shrinkage prior to washing them
Remove when cycle has finished and tumble dry on hot
Set steam iron to hot cotton and iron them
allow jeans to cool before putting them on
wearing them while warm will cause them to stretch once more

Yes. Turn them inside out and wash them in warm water. Put the in the dryer until fully dry. They will shrink but not much. If they are too long in length and to loose you may have to take them to a dry cleaner to have the altered.

Try hot water laundry and hot dryer, but if they were made from preshrunk cotton, then nothing on heaven and earth will shrink them except a tailor or you growing or gaining weight.
You might get a little temporary shrink, but don't rejoice, preshrunk will seize a bit after laundry but stretch out within a hour of wearing them.

You can if it's hot enough, but you're not going to shrink them much, and it's NOT going to make them shorter. Sorry. Dryer shrinking is no substitute for proper fit and a good tailor. If you want them to fit properly, you need to have them altered by a good tailor.

Wash them in hot water then dry them on high heat, they will shrink somewhat.
