What countries does the US gov push their form of gov on? The US is a "free" nation and expresses democracy so everyone has equal rights....each country has a right to believe what they believe...and religion plays a major role especially in the middle east. As far as shutting down the government in order to get a budget passed, the US does this all the time....it is a broken record. Congress threatens and threatens and then doesn't. It is used as a political ploy....nothing has changed. just ignore the threats....they want to draw attention to themselves to be able to push their own agenda through. Because of the 2 wars and excessive spending in both administrations, the US is trying, through budgetary cuts, to "get their house in order".
