Can you hook up Dish Network's Hopper or Uverse's Total Home DVR to non HDTV's?

I'm looking to save some money on the Cable Bill, and I am considering a switch to either Dish Network with the Hopper or AT&T's Uverse, and their Total Home DVR.
We have 4 CRT type Non HDTV sets' each of these TV's have Composite inputs.
And the picture and sound are good on all sets.
Obviously it would not save any money if we had to buy 4 New HDTV sets.
Will either the "Hopper" or Uverse's "Total Home DVR" be able to hook up to these Older non HDTV sets natively? If not is there an adapter that could be purchased for these older tv sets?

Uhhh.. bad idea

Dish and Direct are very similar to cable in terms of their prices.  My current dish bill for 2 receivers is around $118/month.  (includes recording, insurance for techs to come out and some higher end packages).

I dont think dish will save you money.

Will Dish be a better service - yes. But not more economical.

Will the Hopper support standard def? I cannot tell from the Dish site. You will have to call them.
