What are the ten scariest movies?

Ok, so I enjoy Lesley Pratt Bannatyne's "A Halloween How-To" but it is a bit dated. After all it just turned 12 this July. So what does that have to do with this question? Well the book is about costuming, decorations, places to visit, things to do, ideas for parties, and music and movies. This includes a list from Reel.com on what the say are the "Ten Scariest Movies of All Time." Their list:

"1. Don't Look Now (1973)
2. Rosemary's Baby (1968)
3. Suspiria (1977)
4. Halloween (1978)
5. Alien (1979)
6. The Hills Have Eyes (1977)
7. The Exorcist (1973)
8. The Hitcher (1986)
9. The Evil Dead (1982)
10. The Tenant (1976)"

I'm quoting directly from the book, please don't tell me I got the dates wrong cause it wouldn't be me that got the dates wrong (under kid's movies "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" is listed as a 1986 movie when it's actually a 1966 movie). But dates aside, I'm more interested in what you folks have to say are the ten scariest movies to date. Not of all time because that's a little foolish in my book, it's basically saying there will never be any new movies scarier than what's on the list.

Fun question although I tend not to get scared by movies, so I can't say what's scariest but I can list my favorites. These would be the originals - I avoid the remakes like the plague.

1. Texas Chainsaw Massacre
2. Psycho
3. Halloween
4. The Shining
5. Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer
6. Night of the Living Dead
7. The Exorcist
8. Ringu (actually creeped me out)
9. The Orphanage (same)
10. Suspiria

The Tenant's one of my all time favorite movies, but like Rosemary's Baby I only find it creepy. I love the Evil Dead trilogy, but more for the fun aspect (no interest in the gory remake that I heard lost all the humor). I loved the Hills Have Eyes and the Hitcher, but I can never bring myself to consider Alien anything besides sci-fi. Great flick though.

Honorable mentions: Audition, Martyrs, Nosferatu (and the 70s Herzog remake), Carnival of Souls, The Descent, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Carrie, and The Thing. I thought Don't Look Now was too depressing, but maybe I should give it another go.
