A website that shows average grocery prices by state..?

Some friends and I are going to Tennessee for a week in February. We're trying to discern whether it would be cheaper to buy the non-perishables in our state (Louisiana) and buy the perishables up there, or wait and do all our shopping there.

start buy googling "grocery stores in...." the city you are going to be closest to.
then go to that stores website to see the latest sales ads. That will give you an idea of basic prices.
I would do that for you but you never mentioned what city you were going to visit and in my experience, bigger cities have cheaper prices.
