The vast majority of users hate the new format and logo. Personally, I like that you can see who gave your answer a TU, but that's pretty much it.
If you don't like the purple layout, simply use a different server (everyone else is still using the old green version). I'm American, but I'm browsing the site on Y!Canada.

It is definitely much worse. If they had spent half as much time on correcting all the problems with the "new" Yahoo! when they merged with Google, instead of fussing with the rather cool old logo, it'd probably be a great site. Instead they share that unfortunate corporate mindset that anything "new" is instantly better. As consumers, we know that's not the case at all. I don't need all that stuff flying around the home page, for example. I just want my email to open. Instead all the ads load beautifully and I stare at the blank central portion because my email won't open. Here in the Y!A section, we used to be able to contact one another with follow-up answers and questions, and report all those Indian hooker ads that seem to get through without hindrance. The "new" Yahoo! has been around since what, June (when half of our email addresses were hacked during the transition leaving me without email in Poland while on vacation), and only today did I discover how to report abuses in the Answers section. A wonderful adage is, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Yahoo! has sure fixed it. Though I'd use a different verb beginning with F.

This is one of your best questions!
Apparently the one who designs the new Yahoo Answer does not understand why loyal readers like coming up on here to answer / ask a question, and decides to delete some of the old wonderful features by replacing them with many user unfriendly ones.
I for one am looking for another English forum(s) about China which is similar to the old Yahoo Answer features whereby answers and questions are easily saved and retrieved. If anyone has any suggestion please let us know.
EDIT
Some said Ask.com is better than the new Yahoo Answer. Any feedback from anyone?

The only people who like change are wet babies. Software designers never understood that concept.
