If you had received a large sum of money from your insurance would you invest it in starting a business?

I know someone who had received a large amount of money from their home insurance. They want to get the house looking good. The problem is fixed but the damages aren't fixed. They also want to start a business but don't have any other funds to do it with other than what they received for the damages to the house. Would you take the money from the insurance and spend it on the house or will you invest it in starting a business? If you invest it, what will you invest in?

yes a security business that protects those who need the most protection id hire a bunch of geeks who i can trust to keep our privacy as safe as possible and keep those out with evil intentions within our personal and private lives and keep clear boundaries between work/public life and private life which neither society or the government should be involved with because it is only fear control manipulation and every indecent motive that allows and encourages this because what someone dose in there own private apartment dwelling or home no one can do anything about any way so there is no need for any one to be able to access it...if someone is a terrorist there are going to be smart enough to work around things anyway so its not an excuse to allow citizen with no boundaries to have any ability to only cause others harm

Most homes have mortgages and any proceeds from insurance includes both the homeowner and the lender names to protect against this type of action which would reduce the value of the collateral(damaged house)

I'd fix up the house.

If you can't raise the money for the startup WITHOUT doing it at the expense of the roof over your head, you're not ready to do that business yet.
