Can't reset overclock?

The i5 in my computer can be overclocked to 3.8 Ghz the problem with that is my video card will continually crash when the PC starts up. I've tried resetting the bios and moving the pins but my motherboard ALWAYS OC's the processor and I can't use my computer anymore? How can I fix this?

MoBo is an Asus p8Z77

disconnect mains
wait for mobo led's to extinguish
move across jumper to clr
wait for at least 15secs
put the jumper back to nrm
re connect mains
restart pc.
bios should start with defaults
