Ok this show aired on the San Diego 6 cw network it basically was on between 12 am and 2 am on Saturdays and it was a man who tried to explain the bible and the meaning behing human nature ex:
In one episode he talked about the meaning of sex and how humans are the only creatures to make eye contact during intercourse and how it was a connection between two people...
At the end of the episode he would talk about how god sacrificed his only son in order to save humanity... He did this through a metaphor of a father having his son stuck between some gears that lifted a bridge and a incoming cruise ship that would crash into the bridge killing everyone on board instantly he decides to raise the bridge in order to let the ship pass but it instantly kills his son... And he asks if you had to choose between saving your son or saving a ship of people what would you do?
