My birthday is the first week of December and I want to go on a cheap vacation alone. I was looking into Disney World as flights and hotel start at 450. However, I'm still considering other places like Washington D.C, Portland Oregon, or even just a road trip to Texas. I'm in southern California in case your wondering.
Any ideas for something cheap and fun?
By the way, I'm just throwing out ideas. Your would be appreciated. Something for a single guy in his mid 20's

Washington DC is cheap because all of the attractions are basically free. The only cost is for meals and hotels. The subway is great transportation and low cost. Disney World is very expensive for the tickets to get in and hotels are expensive. A road trip to Texas sounds fun, but not much to see along the way-could be boring if your traveling alone. Portland is very pretty, but can be expensive to stay there. check different web sites to see if you can get any discounts.

You don't have to go terribly far. Possibly that big town a few hundred miles down the road. Look at couchsurfing.com (can be lots of fun) and hostelworld.com
