How are sites like Jailbaitgallery.com operating openly? Isn't it illegal?
Surfing Internet and link took me there. Was really surprised to see that crap like that is operating openly on Bing and other search engines. None of the pics were nude, except for young girls with no shirt or bra using their hands to cover their breasts. 90% of the girls looked to be around 12-16. It just didn't seem legal to me. Maybe it is but I have no clue. It said it was legal at the bottom of the page. Tried finding out if it was legal but of course the web is just filled with people's opinions and no real solid answers.

It should be illegal, but passing laws is a slow process that just can't keep up with the internet. I've not looked at the site, and I don't want to, but I'm guessing it's full of pictures taken from Facebook or other social media sites. So technically it probably is legal, because once you post a pic on FB or Flickr or wherever then you consent to allowing it to be used for virtually anything -- even creepy pedo sites.
Sites like that which host pictures of adolescents hide behind the claim that they're only showing things that the people involved have chosen to publicly share. It's a flimsy argument. Nobody posting pics on a social networking site could be expected to understand all the terms and conditions about who can/can't access them.
Society does its best to prevent teenagers from being exploited, but somehow we still expect them to fully understand the terms & conditions of every site they might post pics on - something that would probably take a team of trained lawyers months to understand.
Even though sites like the one you mention might be *technically* legal, just about everyone would agree that they're completely morally wrong.
Yes it is very illegal. A lot of companys are putting IP trackers on files and putting their own songs and movies on filesharing sites and just wait for people to take the bait. You are then met with a HUGE fine. People are always trying to take out file sharing sites, but it is insanely hard. The actual site is hosted by another site, which is hosted by another site and so on. The only way to find the person who is doing it and take it down is to find the original site which is normally disguised as a regular website when it's actually a server. As soon as you delete the file sharing site, the server realizes it and puts it right back up. Someone somewhere has a server in their basement hosting it and no one can find them. The crappy hosts are caught almost immediately but people who started morpheus, limewire etc know what they are doing. File sharing and P2P sites are extremely stupid to go too however. Viruses and Trojans are the only thing you're downloading. As for the posts above, yeah file sharing is legal in a way, but when they are putting movies that haven't been released and everyhting else that is copyrighted i becomes illegal.
One of the fundamentals of those sites is if the girl is under 18 she can't be nude, which translates to the genitals and the nipples have to be covered, beyond that anything is legal. True Teen Babes has operated on that basis for years. The same thing with the Jail Bait sites. As long as the genitals and the nipples are covered they can get away with it.
