How many people started going to Church in their later years?

People like myself that never used to go to Church when they were younger now go almost every week and cant get enough of it.I started going in my 30s and then realized I should have gone when I was younger.

I'm glad you enjoy church so much! And in some ways it's good you didn't start young. I started going to church before I could crawl, and have been at my current church since 2! I have to say being raised in church can be good and bad, good because you have to pontential of being saved your whole life, and knowing Jesus always, bad because like 80 percent of the people I remember going to Sunday school with, middle school youth group, and high school youth group with care little about their faith now because it got boring, and almost 80 percent of high schooler leave the church when the move on to college. So if you were raised in the church, you could have been one of them. I thank God that I'm not every day! I had to go through the pain of my oldest two siblings leaving their faith, and the third oldest in my family left to, but she's back now. Me and my brother are the only ones who haven't turned our back completely. If you do the math that's 3/5 who left, which is 60 percent, chance were it would have been 4/5 of us, but we beat the odds:)

I started at age 23, stopped after about 2 years, and started again about 20 years later.

I was in my late 40's before I turned to God and started going to Church. I'd been in a spiritual wilderness for many years before I finally realised my need to repent and turn to God. There can be many reasons why some people don't turn to God till later in life, but what's important to realise is that it is God who draws us to Him. Many people hear the outward call, but it is not until the Holy Spirit convicts us of our sin that we can respond to the inward call and put our faith in Christ.

God's plan for us is hidden till God chooses to disclose it. Only when we look back on our lives can we see how God was at work, bringing us to a place of repentance. People who put off God's call to salvation are playing with fire. God's moment is always now (2 Corinthians 6:2). We ignore God's calling to our eternal peril.

I was nearly 30 years old. And yes, it means everything to me, for not only am I joining with others in public worship of God, I'm part of the fellowship - the body of Christ - who bless me, and I hope I can be a blessing to them. We learn the significance of what the Bible says for every-day living in the here and now, plus have the promises of God assured as we discover how His promises in times past always happened.

But please note that the Church consists of all believers. It's not a matter of denomination, let alone a building! Christ so loved the Church, He died for her. Titus 2:13-14 AiH.
