There's not much you can do. First of all, if whoever is sick committed a crime, they belong in jail. They don't deserve special treatment. They do have access to medical treatment - better than what I get on the outside, lol. If they don't want to sit in jail - don't commit a crime. That said, considering the people incarcerated while probably try anything to get out, guards are probably hardened to the idea of something being really wrong. 9 times out of 10 is probably a fake try to get out of jail.

Hospitals are overworked and understaffed. Not alot can be done there.
