Restaurants in Long Beach, CA?

I have some friends visiting from Australia who are old car buffs. I want to take them to a 50's style restaurant (Not Georges) in the Long Beach area. They are staying in Anaheim and I am in Torrance and we want to meet in the middle. Any fun suggestions?

There are a few great options locally:

1. Eat at Rudy's is a classic 50's diner with outdoor seating and the whole of downtown Torrance is still very 50's

2. Omelette & Waffle Shop in San Pedro has been on the Food Network and has that classic diner feel

3. Pacific Diner - haven't been here but it looks like it fits the bill.

The park just south of the San Pedro locations has phenomenal views of the ocean after breakfast (and it has the awesome Korean Friendship Bell).
