This is a very close one. Let's dissect.
Greg Olsen has a favorable matchup against a struggling Miami team. Charles Clay has a pretty tough matchup against a very stout Carolina Defense.
While Miami has pretty much lost its running game, Clay is boom or bust productive.
Newton has a variety of receivers that he likes to target and Lafell has been emerging as the WR1 while Steve Smith continues to draw aggressive coverage from defenses.
Olsen has caught a touchdown in three of his last four games, and he has 492 yards on the season. This is a pretty favorable matchup for Olsen.
It should be noted that Clay's performance last week was against a bottom-five ranked pass defense (San Diego). He is majorly inconsistent.
Given the nature of Clay's production, he should be avoided (statistically and on paper) since Carolina ranks in the top-five against the pass.
Statistically and on paper - comfortably go with Olsen.
Just my 2 cents - good luck!
