If you ride at night, then a pair with clear lenses is great. It an be one pair with changeable lenses, or two different pairs. I pretty much only wear polarized sunglasses, so I would never buy these, but I do have sets with interchangeable lenses (I like Native brand glasses).
Glasses are really important to keep bugs out of your eyes, but also to protect you against stones pebbles or road debris thrown by other cyclists or cars. The only time I will ride without them is in the fog when the glasses are impossible to keep clear.
I like multi-lens sun-glasses because it's easy to carry another set of lens to swap if conditions change. Sometimes I'm out kind of late & I need to switch to a clear lens. Or, maybe it gets very cloudy while I'm out. However, it's not always easy to switch lens while on the side of road or trail, especially when hot and sweaty. After switching, the lens often need cleaning. It may be easier and quicker to simply carry another pair of shades.
