Can I substitute krusteaz pancake mix for Bisquick?

I have this peanut butter cookie recipe that I would like to make. It calls for peanut butter, butter, sweetened condensed milk, and Bisquick. I thought I had Bisquick but apparently i used it all.

What I do have is Krusteaz buttermilk pancake mix. Can I use that instead of Bisquick? I've found about 40 different answers and would like something more solid. I know I can make a homemade version of Bisquick but that would require the store annnnd I don't want to drive into town (which leads to the question).

Help please? Thanks.

Does the Krusteaz have a recipe for biscuits on the package? If it does ... yes you can use it.

You just need to try it and see if it works. I looked up the ingredients list for both Krusteaz pancake mix and Bisquick and the main difference I saw was that Krusteaz had leavening before fat in the ingredient list and Bisquick had fat before leavening in the ingredient list. Per 1/3 cup mix Krusteaz had 3 g fat and Bisquick had 4.5 g fat. I am thinking that since you are using peanut butter which is high in fat on it;s own, that you would be safe using the Krusteaz pancake mix. I have been baking for years and I think that you probably could substitute Krusteaz for Bisquick without any real difference in how the cookies turn out.

This is simply one of many Jewish versions to Bisquick.

It is more than fine.

Try a dash of ginger ale or seltzer in the batter - this makes fluffy pancakes.
