Is this a common glitch in Skyrim?

So I just killed the first dragon in a new Skyrim file and right after found that I'm now locked into one vertical level. If I run into a hill I'll just go through it and if I run off a cliff I'll just be floating. Jumping doesn't really work anymore, the animation starts but then stops immediately so I never go anywhere. I tried fast traveling and save/reloading but that didn't change it. Whichever elevation I'm at right after fast traveling is the one I'm locked at.

I have an autosave I can use that isn't too far back so it's nothing to really worry about. I kind of don't even want to fix it for novelty's sake. I'm just curious if this is actually a common thing or not.

Oh yeah, it's the PS3 version by the way. I HAVE heard things about it being especially glitchy but I've never encountered any major ones in any of my other three files. Honestly it's kind of fun actually. Running off into the vast expanses of the sky, sniping people from above, running through walls I'm not supposed to, it's pretty cool.

It sounds like you accidentally somehow toggled the collision.

Try the console command to toggle collision and see if it fixes it.

Press "~" to engage the command console.
Then type "tcl"
Press "enter" and "~" again to exit the command console.

If that didn't fix your character, then you indeed have a glitched save (or game).

Yes, this is a common glitch. If you are in the beginning of the game, reinstall. Your download may be damaged. If not, restart your PS3.

I have played for around 250 hrs and didn't experience it, some people have a lot more they may have seen it.
