I have recieved a writ of execution from the court, now can I shut off the utilities or wait for the Sheriff?

Yes I live in CA. I have a tenant who lives in a trailer on my property all utilities are paid with the rent. They haven't paid me since they moved in. I went to court for an unlawful detainer case. I won. The court gave me a writ of execution to evict. I paid the Sheriff their money and they cannot come out for twenty days. Can I legally turn off the power and water now? Or do I have to wait for the Sheriff to evict them? Thank you for the answer

Until the sheriff comes out and serves them they are legal residents of the place. If you turned off there power and water you could be opening yourself to a lawsuit and you could end up paying them some money.

Let the Sheriff come and evict them. You're likely to get sued if you shut off power and water, and they may even get the right to stay longer without paying rent.

Tack the power and water charges onto whatever they owe you, and sue them for it separately if necessary. Hopefully you also have some kind of deposit to help mitigate further losses like these.
